Therapy Intensives in Etobicoke
Trauma-Informed, Accelerated Therapy for Adults in Ontario
A therapy intensive is a focused, in-depth approach to healing that allows you to make meaningful progress in a shorter amount of time. Intensives create space for deeper emotional processing, clarity, and lasting change in a single, structured experience.
At Increments Psychotherapy, our one-day therapy intensives are thoughtfully designed to support adults who are ready to work through trauma, anxiety, burnout, relationship distress, or long-standing emotional patterns in a safe and supported environment.
We offer therapy intensives in Etobicoke and virtual intensives for adults across Ontario, making it easy to access focused, high-quality care in a way that fits your life.
Your therapy intensive includes 6 hours of care in total, thoughtfully structured to support safety, depth, and integration.
You may be a good fit for a therapy intensive if you:
Feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, trauma, or emotional overwhelm
Want to process a specific traumatic or distressing experience
Are navigating burnout, life transitions, or relationship challenges
Are preparing for or recovering from a major life event
Increments Psychotherapy provides a complimentary 20-minute consultation to assess whether a therapy intensive is clinically appropriate and aligned with your goals.

-
A therapy intensive allows you to work through challenges in a longer, uninterrupted session rather than spreading therapy across many weeks. This can lead to deeper emotional processing and greater insight.
-
Therapy intensives are offered Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm.
The time blocks reserved for the intensives are as follows:
9am-12pm
12pm-3pm
2pm- 5pm
We offer therapy intensives in person at our Etobicoke office or virtually across Ontario.
-
No. Therapy intensives are suitable whether you are new to therapy or have been in therapy before. Your pre-intensive session ensures the experience is tailored to your comfort level and goals.
-
When appropriate, EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches may be used during intensives to help process difficult experiences in a safe and effective way.
-
Many clients benefit from keeping their schedule lighter for the next day or so after an intensive. The post-session integration and your personalized workbook help you process what came up and continue your healing in the days that follow.
-
Yes. Therapy intensives are available both in person in Etobicoke and virtually for adults across Ontario, depending on your needs and preferences.
-
While therapy intensives can be deeply effective, they are not the right approach for everyone. An intensive may not be appropriate at this time if you:
Are currently experiencing active psychosis, mania, or severe dissociation
Are in acute crisis or at risk of harming yourself or others
Are struggling with active substance dependence
Do not yet have enough emotional or nervous system stability to process trauma safely
Are not able to engage in grounding, resourcing, or emotional regulation skills
Feel pressured into an intensive rather than choosing it for yourself
For some people, it’s safer and more supportive to begin with regular therapy sessions to build stability, coping skills, and a sense of safety before engaging in an intensive. This can be determined in the complimentary 20 minute consultation.
-
The 20 minute complimentary consultation is designed to assess whether an intensive is appropriate for you. If an intensive is not clinically recommended, we will talk through safer, more supportive options such as Individual Therapy.
-
The complimentary consultation allows us to understand your goals, answer your questions, and ensure that an intensive is likely to be beneficial rather than overwhelming. If an intensive isn’t the best option at this time, we will talk through alternative supports that may better meet your needs.
This thoughtful screening process reflects our commitment to your wellbeing, informed consent, and care that is paced with respect for your nervous system. Our priority is not just doing meaningful work — but doing it in a way that supports safety, stability, and lasting healing.
-
Therapy intensives are billed at $210 per hour.
1 hour - Pre Intensive session

-
Therapy intensives require advance preparation and reserved clinical time. A minimum of two weeks’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an intensive.
Requests made with at least two weeks’ notice may be rescheduled; the 50% non-refundable deposit paid at the time of booking will be applied to the new date.
Cancellations, no-shows, or rescheduling attempts made with less than two weeks’ of the scheduled intensive will be charged the full cost of the intensive, and no refunds will be issued.
